.No success would be possible without my team.
When clients face a legal challenge, they need an experienced team who cares.
We are that dedicated team.
My name Is Josee Poirier. I was born and raised in Ottawa. I started my professional life by studying at La Cité Collégiale from 2005-2006, in Adjointe Administrative. I am a motivated and hard-working woman that devotes my time to my family and friends. I am a mother to special needs children and like my other children, they mean the world to me.
In 2019, I decided to take a paralegal course to get my license. I have worked hard to help out my Canadian friends over the last 5 years through assisting them in applying for CPP Disability and Disability tax Credit. As a mother that had to go through this process, it was long and stressful. After many years of studying the Regulation and what Canadians are entitled to, I started helping loved ones with getting approved from the government. Since then, my services have grown and I have helped over 100 clients and their children get approved. As I am fluently bilingual in French and English, I hope to assist many more individuals.
I became more passionate about this work and decided that I wanted to be able to offer legal services to them as well. Seeing an application successfully go through and the happiness of my clients as a result of my hard work, gives me a lot of pleasure and drive to continue doing the work that I have been doing. I am dedicated to assisting Canadians in getting what they are entitled to, by law.
My passion, however, does not stop here. I am confident, dedicated, and persistent in what I do. I hope to expand my services and work experience with the addition of my paralegal background, to further help people in need.
My name is Bruce Moquin. Growing up in a military family, I was fortunate to experience the beauty that our country has to offer.
I originally began my professional career studying Law and Security Administration at Algonquin College with the intention of becoming a police officer with the RCMP. Upon the advice of the career counsellor, it was recommended to have more diverse life experiences to include with my application. Therefore, I continued to develop my customer service skills as I was fortunate to experience many different career paths, before beginning my career as a paralegal.
During my work paralegal placement, I was able to assist clients in Provincial Offenses, Small Claims, Workplace, Employment and Human Rights Tribunal. These represent just a few specializations of Law that I am most passionate about. With my analytical background I am confident doing research, synthesizing information, and providing recommendations to clients or supervisors. My attention to detail allows me to notice trends and errors when reviewing legal documents and when preparing client applications.
During my paralegal schooling, I was introduced to Josée Poirier, who works tirelessly in helping Canadians in completing applications for Disability Tax Credits as well as CPP Disability benefits. I am honoured to join Gutsan Legal Services in helping fellow Canadians complete those applications to obtain tax benefits to which they are entitled to.

I have always had a desire to pursue a career in Law. Injustice is common, and for most, they don’t have the resources to commence any type of legal recourse they may be entitled to because of the exorbitant amount of upfront money needed. As a Social Worker student in Grenada, I began my career in advocacy in 2012 by founding a nonprofit organization that aimed to provide monetary relief to vulnerable youth whilst simultaneously providing educational resources to those affected.
Moving to Toronto has allowed me to explore different options relating to the field of law, and, I decided to pursue my education in Paralegal Studies.
Joining the Gutsan Legal Services team is truly an honor, and I am dedicated to always putting my client’s best interest first and ensuring that they all receive individual attention, guidance, and care. I pride myself in being a voice for the voiceless working, persistently to get them the best possible outcome for them and their families.
